Terms of Service

The agreement between you and TruHealth — what the service does, what it deliberately does not do, and what each of us is responsible for.

This agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and <LEGAL ENTITY NAME> (“TruHealth”, “we”, “us”) about your use of the TruHealth website, web app and API. By creating an account or using TruHealth, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

The Privacy Policy is part of this agreement and explains how we handle your information.

TruHealth is not medical advice

This is the most important section on this page, so it comes first.

Ranges, targets and colour coding shown next to readings are general reference values to help you read your own numbers. They are not personalised clinical thresholds, and your doctor may set different ones for you.

Emergencies

TruHealth is not monitored. Nobody at TruHealth watches your readings, and entering a dangerous reading does not alert anyone. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to an emergency department.

Your account

  • You must be at least <MINIMUM AGE> years old to create an account for yourself. Records for children are kept by a parent or guardian.
  • Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep them current — we use your email address to reach you about your account.
  • Keep your password to yourself. It must be at least 12 characters. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us at <SECURITY CONTACT EMAIL> straight away if you think someone else has access.
  • One account is for one person. Family members you look after get their own profiles inside your account, and other adults should have their own account.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Use TruHealth to store or share information about someone who has not agreed to it and whom you have no authority to act for.
  • Try to reach another account's records, probe our systems, or work around the limits of the plan you are on.
  • Upload malware, or content that is illegal, or content you have no right to upload.
  • Scrape the service, resell it, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Use TruHealth to give medical advice to other people as if it were a clinical tool.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right, and we will always let you export your records unless a law prevents it.

Records you keep about other people

TruHealth is built for families, so most accounts hold records about more than one person. When you add someone:

  • You confirm you have the right to do it — as their parent or guardian, or because they asked you to.
  • You are responsible for what you enter about them, and for telling them what you are keeping if they are old enough to understand.
  • You accept that their access rights may change. When a young person takes over their own record, or a guardianship or caregiver arrangement ends, access changes accordingly and we will apply that change.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into TruHealth — readings, journal entries, documents — remains yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, display it back to you and to the people you have given access, back it up, and process it to produce the charts, summaries and exports you ask for. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from copies held in backups until they expire.

We do not use your health information to train machine learning models, and we do not sell it. That is a commitment in the Privacy Policy too.

Plans and payment

TruHealth offers a free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes is described on the pricing section of our home page, and that description is part of this agreement.

Paid plans are not switched on yet

Billing is not live. Until it is, no payment terms apply, and the details below are the shape of what will apply when paid plans open — not a description of something running today.

  • Prices, billing periods and taxes will be shown before you are asked to pay anything. Payments will be handled by <BILLING PROVIDER>; we do not intend to store your card details ourselves.
  • Subscriptions will renew automatically until you cancel, and you will be able to cancel at any time from your account settings.
  • Refunds: <REFUND POLICY>.
  • Price changes will be announced at least <NOTICE PERIOD> before they take effect, and you will be able to cancel rather than accept them.
  • Stopping payment never deletes your history. Your account returns to the free limits, so records beyond those limits become read-only rather than being removed, and you can still export everything.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep TruHealth available, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, faults and problems at our suppliers all happen. We have not published an uptime commitment, and we are not going to imply one we cannot keep — if we agree service levels with an institutional customer, they will be in a separate written agreement.

We will keep improving the service, which sometimes means changing or removing features. If we remove something you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export what depends on it.

Ending your account

If you end it

You can close your account at any time. Before you do, export anything you want to keep. After closure we handle your records as described in the retention section of the Privacy Policy.

If we end it

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or where a law requires it. Except where a serious or unlawful problem makes it impossible, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable chance to export your records first.

Warranties and liability

TruHealth is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the information in it is accurate — much of that information is what you or your family typed in.

We do not accept responsibility for health decisions made on the basis of what TruHealth shows you. See Not medical advice.

Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under consumer protection laws that apply to you.

Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — PROVINCE/STATE AND COUNTRY], and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of <JURISDICTION>. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the place you live.

Please come to us first — most problems are quicker to fix directly.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use TruHealth after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, you can close your account and export your records.
